A little upkeep keeps your humidifier working well and prevents mineral buildup, odors and leaks.

Replace the water panel yearly

Minerals in our water harden the evaporator pad over a season. A crusty pad adds very little moisture. Swap it at the start of each heating season.

Check the drain and valve

Make sure the drain line runs freely and the solenoid valve opens and closes. A stuck valve can waste water or leave the humidifier dry.

Set the humidistat for the season

Turn humidity down as temperatures drop, and close the bypass damper (if you have one) for summer.
