November 1978- with several years of combined experience in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry, Clifford and Wayne Grove opened Grove Heating and Air Conditioning. For several years they operated out of the Kiewel building where White Seal Beer was once brewed specializing in sheet metal fabrication and primarily residential heating and air conditioning. In 1981 the business expanded and moved into the Old County Shop on Hwy 2 and on to its current location at 1001 Bruce St. Due to health reasons Cliff sold his half of the business to two of his sons that he had worked with over the years. Later Grove Heating and Air Conditioning expanded beyond the residential aspect and added light commercial HVAC. Cliff continued to work with Grove Heating training many of the HVAC technicians that are now employed throughout communities. In 1991 Grove Heating and Air Conditioning was renamed to Grove Mechanical Incorporated and has remained true to Cliffs vision of providing a complete customer satisfaction experience. February of 2018 Wayne Grove retired after more than 40 years of taking his dream from a concept to reality. Grove Mechanical is currently owned by Ryan StMichel nephew to Wayne and Grandson to Cliff and will continue to provide the surrounding communities with the “Hometown Heating and Cooling Professional” experience that many families have grown to expect and deserve.
